Some things are worth waiting for…Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.
Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.
But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she’s has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?

MY REVIEW:
First review ever here goes nothing!
I quite enjoyed this book, it was an enjoyable read, but I was not absolutely in love with it. Most everything Jennifer L. Armentrout has written has been amazing, but this was a little bit of a miss with me. I found myself getting annoyed with Avery more and more throughout the book. Especially when Cameron proved himself to her and she still refused to tell him the truth, but instead decided to go through a huge shit storm all for nothing. I think the thing that annoyed me the most while reading this book was not even the plot-line really; it was Avery. I personally liked her character, but I did not love her character. I did not like how she wouldn't let herself move on and how every chapter I was hearing about the same thing and in the end her development felt rushed to me, like a last minute choice.
While I disagreed with Avery, I still enjoyed the book and I loved her inner monologue in specific areas of the book because some of it was actually really funny. Especially the first time she ran into Cam. From that I loved his character, I loved how he was so laid back and chill, but could be serious when it was needed. Besides that, the only part that I actually hated was the ending, I wanted to see Avery finally explode and put everyone in their place instead of sitting there and taking it, but after-all that was her personality throughout the book.
